  • Adult Reading Challenge: November

    Manheim Township Public Library is turning 10 and we are celebrating all year long!

    Join us for our year-long reading challenge for adults! From September 2020-August 2021, we will post the challenge for each month. Patrons ages 18 + will be able to submit their entries through the Adult Reading Form.

    Multiple entries are allowed and it can be books, audio books, or eBooks, but a title can only be submitted once. One prize will be awarded the last day of each month, and at the end of the year a grand prize winner will be announced.

    To go along with our challenges we will have different events at the library throughout the year. These are optional and will not effect your entry.

    Are you familiar with TED talks?  Want to be part of a worldwide pilot program through TED?  TEDxLancaster, an independently organized TED event under license from TED, is hosting TED Circles at the Manheim Township Public Library.  TED Circles is an open platform of small groups that meets for conversations about ideas. It’s a new TED initiative where community members come together to discuss a variety of interesting topics. Participants of TED Circles watch a pre-selected TED talk video, then discuss the ideas contained in the talk.  The goal of TEDxLancaster’s TED Circles is to have a dialogue from diverse points of view so that attendees, and thus our community, can learn about different perspectives, philosophies, and perceptions in a safe, open, welcoming, and informal environment.  The goal is to promote inclusion, tolerance, understanding, and empathy and create an informative, thought-provoking, and educational culture.  TEDxLancaster’s TED Circles aims to bring our community together in these divisive times.

    Time: All day

    Manheim Township Public Library is turning 10 and we are celebrating all year long!

    Join us for our year-long reading challenge for adults! From September 2020-August 2021, we will post the challenge for each month. Patrons ages 18 + will be able to submit their entries through the Adult Reading Form.

    Multiple entries are allowed and it can be books, audio books, or eBooks, but a title can only be submitted once. One prize will be awarded the last day of each month, and at the end of the year a grand prize winner will be announced.

    To go along with our challenges we will have different events at the library throughout the year. These are optional and will not effect your entry.
