MTPL has public computers available for patrons and guests. To begin your session, sign in at the Circulation Desk. Patrons and guests must have their library card or a photo ID to access a public computer. Patrons and guests are allowed one hour-long session per day. If a patron needs to step away for a short time, the session can be saved or the screen hidden from view. If a computer is left idle, the session will time out and patron work will be lost. Files cannot be saved on the public computers and patrons are responsible for managing and saving their information.
Computers are available daily from opening until 15 minutes before closing. Computer sessions must be finished 15 minutes before the library closes and sessions cannot be extended past that time. Printing services are not available once the computer sessions have ended.
WiFi is available throughout the building and on the Tell Café patio. There is no password needed to access WiFi, but patrons will need to accept the Terms and Conditions to gain access.
Printing, Copying, and Scanning
Self-serve printing and copying services are available in the Document Center. Print jobs can be sent to the Document Center from any public computer, and patrons may use the copier for self-serve copies. Staff can guide or assist patrons with these services as availability permits.
Patrons can pay for their prints and copies using the Coin and Bill Acceptor in the Document Center, or see a staff member at the Circulation Desk for assistance. The Coin and Bill Acceptor will accept nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 bills. Print jobs of more than $5 must be released from the Circulation Desk.
Scan to email can be done by staff at the Circulation desk. Patrons are responsible for providing a valid email address and confirming receipt of the scans.
Printing, Copying, and Scanning fees:
$0.25 per page for Black and White prints/copies
$0.50 per page for Color prints/copies
$1.00 per page for Scan to Email
