MTPL will open for “Browsing Times” beginning Monday, June 22nd.
At this time, this service is only available to Manheim Township and East Lampeter Township residents.
Manheim Township or East Lampeter Township residents can schedule a 30 minute time slot to come in and browse the stacks or use the public computers. We will be allowing a limited number of people into the building at a time, so patrons must register for a time slot. All persons who are coming into the building must be registered. If you arrive and have not registered, you may not be able to enter the building.
Everyone entering the building is asked to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. If you are not able to use a mask, our Curbside Holds service will be available to all patrons.
Times will be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM and Thursday and Friday 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM.
On Tuesday and Thursday the 10 AM browsing times will be reserved for vulnerable patrons. Beginning Saturday July 11th, we will have Saturday time slots at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM.
To register for a browsing session, visit our Calendar to find a date and time. Registration for these slots works just like our regular event registration, and you will need to use your calendar account to register. For help with registering call the library at 717-560-6441 or see our Registration Help Page.
Patrons are able to register for one session per day. Seating will be limited to computer users only. Internet computers for children will be available, but children’s play computers and toys will not be available.
If you want to place holds or pick up items on hold, please use our Curbside Holds service.
NOTE: If anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of illness, please do not come to the library. You may cancel your registration in your website account or by calling the library at 717-560-6441
