Discovery Patio
Enjoy our Discovery Patio located right outside the Children’s Area in the Library. Explore our Little Parts tables when the weather is nice. In the spring and summer, inspect our plant garden and get a closer look with our leaf magnifier. Don’t forget, before you go back inside, to check out our StoryWalk which encourages literacy and movement for children and adults, all while being outdoors!
StoryWalk®
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages from a children’s book are installed along an outdoor path with prompts to enrich the experience. Our StoryWalk® begins on the Children’s Discovery Patio outside the children’s area of the Library. Each month, a new children’s book will be installed for your family to enjoy. “The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.”
