Curbside Holds Pick-Up

To request items, login to your account on the Online Catalog or call the library at 717-560-6441.

Holds can be picked up through our Curbside Holds Pick-up, or Express Service

Patrons may place 5 holds at a time. To request items, either login to your account on the Online Catalog or call us at 717-560-6441. Patrons who call may be asked to leave a voicemail. All requests will be processed as quickly as possible. Once your request has been filled, you will be notified by email or phone.

Patrons can place holds online by logging in to their account on our Online Catalog to search for items and place holds. This feature was unavailable during the closures, but has now been reactivated. Patrons can now place a hold on items from MTPL or from other libraries in the Library System of Lancaster County. Holds may take longer that usual to arrive, so please be patient as we work to get your items ready.

Patrons may use the Grab Bag Request Form to request a “grab bag” with 10 Children’s items. Please limit your requests to one Grab Bag at a time. After you have picked up one order you may request another Grab Bag. Those who are looking for reading suggestions can use the Your Next 5 Books form, and Children and Teens can view suggestions on the Youth Services Recommended Reading page.

When you arrive for curbside pick-up, please call the Curbside Pick-up Number at 717-368-3111 to let staff know you have arrived. Staff will ask you to verify your library card number and will bring out your holds to a table in front of the library.

Curbside Pick-up is available:

Monday – Wednesday 11 AM – 7 PM
Thursday – Friday 11 AM – 4 PM
Curbside Pick-up is not available on Saturdays.

NOTE:  If anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of illness, please do not come to the library to pick up your holds. Contact the library at 717-560-6441 to let us know you cannot make your pick up.

Please note that due to the volume of requests, there may be delays in this process. We ask for your patience.
