Speechcraft for Teens

TEENS! You have been asked to prepare a presentation at school or participate in a debate to convince someone to accept your ideas. As you are introduced, your hands begin to shake and your mouth goes dry. You wonder if you will ever make it through your presentation. This nervousness is not unusual and it can be eliminated.

The Conestoga Toastmasters Club is conducting a FREE four-week workshop at the library called Speechcraft that will help young participants overcome nervousness and learn basic public speaking skills, while building confidence and self-esteem.

Open to teens ages 13 to 19. These workshops, which usually cost over $100, are offered at NO COST as a partnership between Toastmasters and the Manheim Township Public Library.

The workshop will be held on four consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. from April 28, 2020 through May 19, 2020. Registration will open on Friday, March 20th. This workshop is limited to only ten students, so sign up today! Either register on the library’s website or call the library at 717-560-6441.

Conestoga Toastmasters was founded in 1955 as a non-profit organization and are committed to developing confident communicators and successful leaders who will positively influence the community.
