Conference Room
Based on great feedback from January’s soldering event, we are repeating this program as staffing and space allow!
Designed for teens ages 12-19 – parental permission form must be signed for minors as a condition of admission. Would your teen like to learn to safely use a soldering iron? Soldering is essential in making and repairing electronics, jewelry and even stained glass! Your tween or teen will learn safety tips, observe a skilled maker using the equipment, and have an opportunity to make a small item to take home. Safety glasses will be provided and will be required to participate. Participants must wear hair tied back, shirts tucked in, long pants and shirts (no loose-fitting clothes) and closed-toed shoes.
If your teen enjoys soldering, stay tuned for additional programs. This program, once completed successfully, will pre-certify your teen to participate in a “level two” soldering session (coming later in 2017).
