Becoming a Beekeeper

The Lancaster County Beekeeper Association presents a crash course in getting started as a beekeeper. Learn the biology of the honey bee, what tools and equipment are required, how to actually acquire bees, manage the colony as it gets started, and harvesting honey. They will also discuss the environmental challenges faced by honey bees in Lancaster County that must be addressed and managed by the beekeeper.
