Hazardous History Book Club – Week #4

Wednesday, August 5th 2020

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Join us for a virtual book club! We’ll discuss an entry in Nathan Hale’s Hazardous Tales every other Wedneday. We will meet using Zoom. Please register in advance and we will email you the login information on the day of the program. All titles in this series are available for download on Hoopla. Recommended for children age 10 to 14.

Registration will open on Wednesday, July 15th by noon for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Friday, July 17th for residents of other municipalities.

This week we’ll discuss Treaties, Trenches, Mud & Blood: World War I set the tone for the 20th century and introduced a new type of warfare: global, mechanical, and brutal. Nathan Hale has gathered some of the most fascinating true-life tales from the war and given them his inimitable Hazardous Tales twist. Easy to understand, funny, informative, and lively, this series is the best way to be introduced to some of the most well-known battles (and little-known secrets) of the infamous war.
