Imagine a fun-filled short trip to West Africa to play drums, dance, sing, learn, and smile! This program with Tammi will have you dancin’ on your feet and movin’ in your seat. Let’s go back in time and learn about the original story of the Lion King…but this time, you are in it, playing rhythms with your hands and stomping with your feet. We will meet using Zoom. Please register in advance and we will email you the login information several days before the program. Recommended for children age 5 to 12 with their families.
Tammi Hessen is drawn to the transformative arts; she is a local family therapist and West African drumming teacher in the Lancaster, Reading, Harrisburg, and York areas. Tammi teaches at Franklin & Marshall College and Millersville University, has a small private therapy practice, teaches empowering local drumming classes, and is a member of several music bands and performance groups
Registration for this free event will open by noon on Wednesday, May 20th for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Friday, May 22nd for residents of other municipalities.
